There is a movie called River's Edge from the mid 80s that I found creepy and very unsettling. It stars Crispin Glover (who is very creepy) Keanu Reeves and Ione Skye (the object of John Cusack's love in Say Anything) and its about a group a friends that find a dead body by the river and they find out its someone they knew who killed her. Dennis Hopper is in the movie too, his character is in love with his inflatable doll...yeah thats how weird and creepy this movie is. ~i.a. ;D What? A creepy movie from the 80's I've never seen, cool. I have to see that! And Dennis Hopper with an inflatable doll=creepy in my book. ;D The only thing creepier is if he was sucking on an oxygen tank and listening to "In Dreams."

I recently rewatched a film that was on British tv a few weeks ago called Buddy Boy. Aidan Gillen plays a very introverted loner who lives with his mother (or so you're led to believe) and becomes involved in a very strange relationship with a neighbour. As I said, the lead character appears to be very shy, but as the film progresses that's the least of his problems! You can really begin to sense and feel his paranoia and claustrophobia growing. Scenes that stick out for me are him spying on the neighbour, and seeing things that aren't really happening. Human head in a boiling pot for one. Won't say anymore, just in case anyone wants to check the film out! ;D
Highly recommended, reminded me a different times of Hitchcockian style, and in particular Michael Powell's 'Peeping Tom', a disturbing film in it's own right.

oh damn you! i watched the trailer and now i don't want to drive any more! lol...freaky! Don't be scared of driving be scared of the people stood by the side of the road who get off by watching car accidents. Although I don't drive the first crash in the film with James Spader's character scared me as it showed how easy it is to loose control and how deverstating it can be. I'm happy walking james spader is just creepy and scary anyways...lol.

He's great in "Sex, Lies and Videotape" and "Secretary" oh and of course "Stargate" yeah, he played the role in Secretary beautifully. he's a good actor, but he does have a creepy quality about him sometimes...lol. www.jamesspader.org/video/musicvideo-secretary-claire.rm

Yes, that is a quite disturbing film, sex and car crashes just don't go together. Actually a number of David Cronnenberg films are disturbing, mostly because of the weird organic body things he has in them. See Videodrome, Scanners, Dead Ringers, and Naked Lunch. On a side note, I hope no one confuses the 1996 Crash with the movie Crash that came out last year, they are completely different movies. I don't know why the new one has that title, they should have known there was already a fairly recent movie with it.

In high school in English class We watched movies every so often and one of the ones we watched was Lottery. It is about a town full of people and once a year all of them put their names in a pot and who's ever name gets drawn gets stoned to death. They have no choice they got to die. Even little kids throw stones. Hey, i read that story in english class at highschool! Wow, brings back memories. I found the story really disturbing and yet really interesting/fascinating. Guess that makes me kinda morbid lol. They have a book about it? I think I am gonna have nightmares now!

They have a book about it? I think I am gonna have nightmares now! lol yeah. It's more like a short story though. It was a very good read. At the end i was like "uhhh....what just happened here?" lol. I didn't know they made a movie about it. It has to be a really short movie then because not much happens.

I actually saw that movie and have read the short story. The only relation the movie has to the short story is the premise that this town has an annual lottery where they stone a person to death. The short story is only a couple pages so the movie makes up an entire story by itself of this guy that comes to this town and slowly discovers what is going on. The short story is a genuine classic, the movie is forgettable.

One's not mentioned- Happiness, and Man Bites Dog. My God, I watched Happiness today and it was very disturbing. It weird because it deals with these disturbing topics but does it with kind of a humorous way some of the time. All you need to know about this movie is there is a scene with a father talking to his 11 year old son about raping his friends and something else I won't even mention here. Distuuuurbing.
