The belief of a heaven and hell in the Christian religion is not based on how "good" or "bad" you are, because to the Bible, "good" is perfection, which is no human anymore. So no matter how "good" someone is, it's a matter of accepting Christ or not. If this was not true, then Jesus would basically have no point to Christians. And I always find the words "your kind" very funny. I'm no different of a person than anyone else is from everyone else. I simply have a different view on life and believe different things, which everyone is entitled to do.

you do seem have the us vs them attitude you sound as if you consider yourself and your way of life superior I wonder how you would feel if you didn't meet your girl probably would not be so vocal about the 'just have faith and you will get a girlfriend' advice cause it would just sound silly
there are always people that do want to cram their beliefs down your throat they could be communists or christians or any other ideologists no difference the religious fundamentalists are always on the front lines with this though
just take the 'premarital sex is worse then murder' piece how ridiculous yet I am sure many people would not mind enforcing this under the pretense of making the world a better place and fixing society
its nonsense like this that causes resentment 'lucky' events happen to everyone, its just a matter of recognizing the opportunity and acting on it we miss these opportunities because we fear I can understand that your faith has removed your fear and you were able to see and do things that you otherwise would not have done but to claim you were rewarded by an external force for your good behaviour is just arrogant

First off, if you re-read this topic, I was not the one who started this debate, so I'm not the one trying to cram anything down anyone's throat. I've said repeatedly it was simply advice from one Christian to another. Everyone can believe whatever they want, I could care less. One of the very things that a Christian is suppose to follow is to accept everyone for who they are. Most people who call themselves Christians don't do this, so I agree with the "craming stuff down your throat" part when talking about some people, but it's not all, that's how stereotypes get started. When you see someone mention the word "Christian", that's what automatically comes to your mind.
The only one here with any 'vs' attitude is you and the others who keep getting this off topic. I am simply defending myself. Re-read the topic if you don't believe me. Every single person I know who has the same faithful views as I do has ended up in a very similar relationship, and those who havn't yet I believe will. If I never ran into her, I'd simply believe personally that I was never meant to be with anyone. That is my own personal belief and there is nothing wrong with that, so get over it.
And about the 'premaritual sex is worse than murder' part, I didn't say it was, I said some believe it is. A lot of Christians believe that every sin in God's eyes is equally as bad, whether it's killing someone or calling someone a fool, because no one is perfect. That's why even the most horrible serial killer to ever live could repent and change and become a believer in Christ if he wanted to. It's someone's personal opinion. You still havn't realized yet what I have been saying over and over and over. I feel like a broken record. This wasn't a topic made for giving general advice to anyone in particular to come and read about. If someone comes here looking for the same advice they can simply choose to believe what they want. But it was a topic created about someone who wanted advice for his own specific situation, and I already knew before I made my original post that SPG was a Christian, so I was giving my own advice from a Christian to a Christian, simple as that, I never said anyone else had to believe anything different. I only share my experiences because they are true and you keep saying they aren't. Whether there is a God or not, whether it is coincidence or not, I know what has happened to the people like me that I know, so I said so. I could care less if you believe it or not, but when you bash on someone else's opinions and beliefs of course they are going to defend themselves.

How is being arrogant? It's my own personal opinion, I could care less what you think of it. And yes I consider thousands of things playing perfectly off one another a little more than being lucky. It is my own personal belief, if you don't like it, so what, I'm not trying to make you think otherwise, I am simply defending what I believe because you keep attacking it.

from what?
you say this so much
you speak from the position of having - and saying that you got it as a reward when its not necessarily so its like winning the lottery and then saying - well my faith must be really strong
to think of it, I live a better life then a larger percent of people in the world and I have gotten alot of the things that I wanted I guess my faith must be really strong

From what I've read it does seem as though scotty's belief has been attacked...challenged whatever and that he's just defending his own personal opinions. He's been accused of shoving his beliefs down everyone's throat, but to me it looks like its more of the opposite.
